Welcome to Think College Now Elementary, a college-focused elementary school in Oakland’s Fruitvale district. Founded in 2003 by a committed group of families, students, teachers, educators, and community members, TCN seeks to give each student the tools they need to determine their life’s path. Twice named a California Distinguished School, TCN is known for its unique college-going culture, dedicated teachers, rigorous academics and authentic community partnership. Proud to serve all students, the TCN team truly believes in the potential of every child in our community.

Our Mission

Our mission at Think College Now is that all students will have the tools to choose their life’s path and desired occupation with an equitable opportunity to attend college and pursue their dreams. We believe that access to college is the key to bringing about educational equity for our children. We work relentlessly to help our students develop the habits to make the dramatic student achievement gains required for college entrance.
